and placed it in his new tomb which he had cut in the rock; and having rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, he departed.


"Therefore command that the grave be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him, and say to the people, 'He was raised from the dead.' So the last deception will be worse than the first."


So they went and secured the grave, sealing the stone, with the guard.


But after the Sabbath, at the dawning toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.


And behold, a great earthquake occurred; for an angel of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.


And having bought linen cloth, and having taken Him down, he wrapped Him in the linen cloth and set Him down in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock, and rolled a stone upon the door of the tomb.


Now having arisen early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.


Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying upon it.


Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.


Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.


And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been closed, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!"


Now on the first day of the week, the disciples being assembled to break bread, Paul was discussing with them, being about to leave on the next day, and extended his message until midnight.


On the first day of the week let each one of you put something aside, storing up whatever he may prosper, in order that there be no collections when I come.


I came to be in spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard a loud voice like a trumpet behind me,
