Therefore many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and seeing the things Jesus did, believed in Him.
because on account of him many of the Jews were going away, and were believing in Jesus.
Then Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me.
And he related to us how he had seen the angel in his house, standing and saying to him, 'Send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter,
And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed, and turned to the Lord.
"I was in the city of Joppa praying; and in a trance I saw a vision, a certain vessel coming down like a great sheet, being lowered by the four corners from heaven; and it came as far as me;
And all who were dwelling at Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.
Now in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which being translated is called Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable giving which she was doing.
Now since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having heard that Peter was in Joppa, sent to him, urging him not to delay in coming to them.
And it came about that he stayed many days in Joppa with one Simon, a tanner.
