Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?"
When Jesus saw this man lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you wish to become well?"
And looking intently at him and becoming fearful he said, "What is it, lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.
on which, looking intently, I was contemplating, and I saw the four-footed animals of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the reptiles, and birds of the heaven.
Now Peter and John were going up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, which was the ninth hour.
And while the lame man who had been healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, utterly astonished.
So when Peter saw this, he replied to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?
who, when he saw Peter and John about to enter into the temple, began asking for alms.
And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive from them.
