Now it happened, as I was going and approaching Damascus, about midday, suddenly from heaven a great light shone about me.
"And those who were with me observed the light and became terrified, but they did not hear the voice of the One speaking to me.

The city had no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
