Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, 'We see.' Therefore your sin remains.
And in those days Peter, rising up in the midst of the disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty), said,
For he who lacks these things is blind, being shortsighted, having forgotten the cleansing of his past sins.
If we claim that we have fellowship with Him, and we are walking in the darkness, we are lying, and are not practicing the truth.
But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
He who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
By this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Everyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.
If anyone claims, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how is it possible for him to love God whom he has not seen?
