"But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and I abide in His love.
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.
Because it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
I am writing to you, fathers, because you have come to know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I am writing to you, little children, because you have come to know the Father.
We know that we have passed over from death to life, because we love the brothers. He who does not love his brother abides in death.
And in this we know that we are from the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
Everyone who abides in Him does not sin; everyone who sins has not seen Him nor has he known Him.

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; and everyone that loves has been born of God and knows God.
We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the evil one.
By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went off to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.
Here is the endurance of the saints; those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Blessed are those who do His commandments, so that their right shall be to the tree of life, and they may enter by the gates into the city.
