Neither did I shew thee that which the beast had torn. I made good all the damage: whatsoever was lost by theft, thou didst exact it of me.


And Ruben answered him: Kill my two sons, if I bring him not again to thee. Deliver him unto my hand, and I will restore him to thee.


If delay had not been made, we had been here again the second time.


For I will require the blood of your lives at the hand of every beast, and at the hand of man. At the hand of every man, and of his brother, will I require the life of man.


And the woman of Thecua said to the king: Upon me, my lord, be the iniquity, and upon the house of my father; but may the king and his throne be guiltless.


Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king sleepeth with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.


Deliver me, O Lord, and set me beside thee: and let any man's hand fight against me.


If, when I say to the wicked, Thou shalt surely die: thou declare it not to him nor speak to him that he may be converted from his wicked way and live: the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity but I will require his blood at thy hand.


Moreover, if the just man shall turn away from his justice and shall commit iniquity: I will lay a stumbling-block before him. He shall die, because thou hast not given him warning. He shall die in his sin and his justices which he hath done shall not be remembered. But I will require his blood at thy hand.


And if the watchman see the sword coming, and sound not the trumpet: and the people look not to themselves, and the sword come, and cut off a soul from among them: he indeed is taken away in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at the hand of the watchman.


When I say to the wicked: O wicked man, thou shalt surely die: if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked man from his way: that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at thy hand.


That the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation,


By so much is Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
