1 Samuel 24:7
10 Marejeleo ya Msalaba

David said to him: Why didst thou not fear to put out thy hand to kill the Lord's anointed?

O Lord my God, if I have done this thing, if there be iniquity in my hands:

But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you:

Speak of me before the Lord, and before his anointed, whether I have taken any man's ox, or ass: If I have wronged any man: If I have oppressed any man: If I have taken a bribe at any man's hand: and I will despise it this day, and will restore it to you.

After which David's heart struck him, because he had cut off the hem of Saul's robe.

And David stopped his men with his words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rising up out of the cave, went on his way.

And blessed be thou, who hast kept me to-day, from coming to blood, and revenging me with my own hand.

And the Lord will reward every one according to his justice, and his faithfulness: for the Lord hath delivered thee this day into my hand, and I would not put forth my hand against the Lord's anointed.

And David said to Abisai: Kill him not. For who shall put forth his hand against the Lord's anointed, and shall be guiltless?
