John 9:41
9 Marejeleo ya Msalaba

Have you seen a man who seems wise to himself? There will be greater hope held for the unwise than for him.

Woe to you who are wise in your own eyes, and prudent in your own sight!

And you have said: 'I am innocent and without sin. And because of this, let your fury be turned away from me.' Behold, I will contend with you in judgment, because you have said: 'I have not sinned.'

And that servant, who knew the will of his Lord, and who did not prepare and did not act according to his will, will be beaten many times over.

I say to you, this one descended to his house justified, but not the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled; and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."

For if we sin willingly, after receiving knowledge of the truth, there is no sacrifice remaining for sins,

Therefore, he who knows that he ought to do a good thing, and does not do it, for him it is a sin.
