But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’


He said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’


The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.


and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day.


And he sent yet a third. This one also they wounded and cast out.


And he began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and let it out to tenants and went into another country for a long while.
