Because out of prison and chains sometimes a man cometh forth to a kingdom: and another born king is consumed with poverty.


And all the trees of the country shall know that I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree: and have dried up the green tree and have caused the dry tree to flourish. I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it.


In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, that is fallen: and I will close up the breaches of the walls thereof, and repair what was fallen: and I will rebuild it as in the days of old.


Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joseph, and Jude, and Simon? are not also his sisters here with us? And they were scandalized in regard of him.


Because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.


I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather that the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.


Be humbled in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.


The bow of the mighty is overcome: and the weak are girt with strength.
