²³ Wae faa ye, maistèrs o tha Laa an Pharisees, ye hippycrates! Ye gie a tenth o yer gairden spices - yer mint, dill an cummin. But yis hae neglectit tha mair impoartin mettèrs o tha Laa - justice, mercie an faith. Gie yer tenth, but dïnnae ferget tae be fair an kine tae ithers, as weel.

Mattha 12:7

Tha Scrïpture says: ‘It's mercie A'm eftèr, A'm no eftèr secryfice’, an ïf ye haed unnèrstud tha mainin o these wurds, ye wudnae hae saed that ma follaers wus sïnners whan the' ir no!

Mattha 23:13

Wae faa ye, maistèrs o tha Laa an Pharisees, ye hippycrates! Fer ye shut tha dure o tha Kïngdom o Heiven ïn fowks' faces. You yersels dïnnae enter, an yis'll no alloo thaim tae enter that's tryin tae git ïn!

Mattha 9:13

But awa an lairn tha mainin o thïs Scrïpture: ‘It's mercie A'm eftèr, A'm no eftèr secryfice.’ Fer A hinnae cum fer tae caa tha guid fowk [tae repent], A hae cum fer tae caa sïnners.”

Lïsten here, wae faa ye, Pharisees, ye gie a tenth o yer gairden spices sitch as mint an rue, but ye hae neglectit justice, an ye dïnnae love God. But ye shudnae ferget tae be fair an kine tae ithers, an tae love God, as weel as giein yer tenth.
