For he says, “At a favorable time I heard ye, and in a day oʼ salvation I befreendit ye.” Tak tent! Noo a favorable time; lo! noo a day oʼ salvation!


For ye ken that, eʼen aftir that was dune, he fain wad hae the blessin, but was rejeckit; for he faund nae turnin again, thoʼ he socht it wiʼ unco tears.


But exhort ane‐the‐ither, day by day, eʼen as lang as it is caʼd “the day,” least ony oʼ ye be hardened throwe the glamor oʼ sin.
