And, comin again, he faund them sleepin; for their een had wan heavisome.


And he comes till his disciples; and says he tae them, “Sleepin are ye noo, and takin yere rest? Tent ye! the ʼoor is at haun; and the Son oʼ Man is deliverʼt intil the hauns oʼ evil men!


“And in yere prayin, rhyme‐na things ower and ower, incontinent, like the heathen‐folk: for they trow gin that they speak eneuch, they sal be heard.


And he was speakin a parable to them, as that men soud be aye prayin, and never swarf.


In this behauf, I thrice entreatit the Lord, that it micht gang frae me.
