12 Than saw they hoo he bad them no beware oʼ the barm oʼ the breid, but oʼ the doctrines oʼ the Pharisees and Sadducees.
“Hoo isʼt ye dinna ken I spak to‐ye‐na anent breid; but to tak tent and beware oʼ the teachins oʼ the Pharisees and the Sadducees!”
But whan he saw a hantle oʼ the Pharisees and Sadducees come till his bapteezin, quoʼ he to them, “Eh, ye venomous race! Wha has gien ye warninʼ to flee frae comin wrath?
“For I say till ye, Gin yere gudeness gang‐na yont the Scribes and Pharisees, neʼer sal ye win intil the kingdom oʼ Heeven!
For the Sadducees say, “Thar is nae Risin‐again, nor ony Angel nor spirit;” but the Pharisees haud to baith.
Yere roosin oʼ yersels is unseemly. Ken‐ye‐na, that a wee barm wull leaven the hail melder.
