Matthew 27:12

And bein accused oʼ the Heid‐priests and Elders, he answert nocht.

And Pilate speirʼt at him, “Are ye the King oʼ the Jews?” And answerin, he says to him, “Ye say true.”

And Pilate again speirʼt at him, “Answer‐ye‐na? See! hoo mony things they lay again ye!”

But Jesus nae mair answerʼt ocht; sae that Pilate ferlied.
