4 “And gin aiblins he sins again ye seeven times in a day, and seeven times turns to ye, sayin, ‘I repent!’ ye sal forgie him!”
“But gin he winna harken to ye, than tak wiʼ ye ane or twa mair, sae that at the mooth oʼ twa or thrie witnesses, ilk word may be made siccar.
“Eʼen sae sal my Heevenlie Faither do to you, gin ye forgie‐na ilk ane his brither‐man frae yere hearts!”
“But say I, Loʼe yere faes; bless the anes that ban and curse ye; seek the gude oʼ thae that hate ye; and pray for sic as shamefully ill‐treat ye, and seek for yere wrang:
“ ‘And forgie us aʼ oor ill deeds, as we eʼen forgae thae wha did us ill:
And the Apostles said to the Lord, “Gie us mair faith!”
“Gin yere enemy hungʼer, feed him; gin he be drouthie, gie him drink; for, sae doin, ye sal heap coals oʼ fire on his heid.”
