“But he was fuʼ oʼ angʼer, and wadna gang in. His faither, thoʼ, cam oot, and was entreatin him.


“And wull ding thee doon to the grunʼ, and thy bairns within thee; for that thou wadna tak tent oʼ the time oʼ thy visitation!”


But, turnin him aboot, Jesus said, “Dochters oʼ Jerusalem! greet‐ye‐na for me; but greet sair for yersels and for yere weans!
