Ic me to Drihtne ­ ­ ­ ­ ­deorum cleopode, þonne me costunga ­ ­ ­ ­ ­cnysdon geneahhe, and he me gehyrde ­ ­ ­ ­ ­holde mode.


Hof ic mine eagan ­ ­ ­ ­ ­to þam hean beorge, þær ic fultum fand ­ ­ ­ ­ ­fælne æt þearfe.


Ic on ðyssum eom ­ ­ ­ ­ ­eallum bliðe, þæt me cuðlice to ­ ­ ­ ­ ­acweden syndon, and on Godes hus ­ ­ ­ ­ ­gange syððan.


To þe ic mine eagan hof, ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ece Drihten, þu þe heofonhamas ­ ­ ­ ­ ­healdest and wealdest.


Nymþe us on wese ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ece Drihten, cweþað Israhelas ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ealle nu ða,


Ac wel licað ­ ­ ­ ­ ­wuldres Drihtne, þa þe hine him ondrædað ­ ­ ­ ­ ­dædum and wordum, and on his milde mod ­ ­ ­ ­ ­mægene gewenað.


Hy synd nu gebundne, and hi afeollon, and we soðlice arison and synt uppahafene.


Drihten, min God, to þe ic hopige, and ic þæs næfre ne sceamige; ne mine fynd me næfre for ðy ne bysmrian,


Drihten, þu eart swete and wynsum and eac rihtwis. For þam gesette God æ scyldiendum on heora wegum,


Drihten is min onlyhtend and min hælend: hwæt þearf ic ondrædan? Drihten is scyldend mines lifes: hwy sceal ic beon afærd?


Drihten gefriðað þa sawla his þeowa, and ne forlæt nænne þæra þe him to hopað.


For þam ne wyrð seo burh næfre onwend, þa hwile þe God byð unonwendedlic on hire midle. God hyre gehealp swyþe ær on morgen.


And gedrefed wæron þa elðeodgan folc, and hiora rice wæs gehnæged; se hyhsta sende his word and gehwyrfed wæs ure land and ure folc to beteran, and hi and heora land to wyrsan.


Hwæt, he is God min ­ ­ ­ ­ ­and gearu hælend; is he fultum min, ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ic ne forhtige wiht.


Donne ge mid mane ­ ­ ­ ­ ­men ongunnon, ealle ge ða to deadan ­ ­ ­ ­ ­dædun sona, swa ge awurpon ­ ­ ­ ­ ­wah of stofne.


Hwæt, he is God min ­ ­ ­ ­ ­and gleaw hælend and fultum is; ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ne mæg ic hine ahwær befleon.
