psalm L (1–6).

1 Jehovah, God alane, Has sent His biddin’ roon’ The hale yirth, frae the sun’s up‐gae’n To whaur the sun gangs doon.

2 Frae oot o’ Zion’s hill, That nane can e’er excel, — But marrow for her beauty still — God lemed has Himsel’.

3 Oor God sal come or lang, To speak He salna fail; Afore Him lowes sal loupin’ gang, And roond Him roar the gale.

4 E’en to the hevins He Frae heigh abune sal ca’, And to the yirth, that redded be His folk, baith ane and a’.

5 “To Me a’ in ae place My sauncts maun gether’d be, — A’ them that throwe a sacrifice Hae made a tryst wi’ Me.”

6 Syne His richt‐reddins a’ The hevins furth sal tell; The richts and wrangs aboot us, wha Could redd but God Himsel’?
