“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there. I have commanded a widow there to sustain you.”


Pharaoh Necoh put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.


The king of Babylon attacked them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.


and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;


because of the day that comes to destroy all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper who remains; for YHWH will destroy the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphtor.


Concerning Damascus: “Hamath and Arpad are confounded, for they have heard evil news. They have melted away. There is sorrow on the sea. It can’t be quiet.

YHWH says: “For three transgressions of Damascus, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron;


For look, I will raise up against y’all a nation, house of Israel,” says YHWH, the God of Armies; “and they will oppress y’all from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of the Arabah.”


The captives of this army of the children of Israel, who are among the Canaanites, will possess even to Zarephath; and the captives of Jerusalem, who are in Sepharad, will possess the cities of the Negev.


So they went up, and spied on the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, to the entrance of Hamath.
