What is a human, that he should be pure? Or one born of a woman, that he should be righteous?


How then can a human be justified before God? Or how can one born of a woman be clean?


Though I am righteous, my own mouth will condemn me. Though I am blameless, it will prove me perverse.


Israel, hope in YHWH, for there is lovingkindness with YHWH. Abundant redemption is with ʜɪᴍ.


Don’t enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no man living is righteous.


Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.


and to you, Lord, belongs lovingkindness, For you reward every person according to their work.


But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.


For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in lovingkindness to all those who call on you.


I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they will not benefit you.


I will sprinkle clean water on y’all, and y’all will be clean. I will cleanse y’all from all your* filthiness and from all your* idols.


Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in lovingkindness.


“I baptize y’all with water for repentance, but the one who comes after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize y’all in the Holy Spirit and fire.


Hɪꜱ mercy is upon generations after generations on those who fear ʜɪᴍ.


Hᴇ has helped ʜɪꜱ servant Israel, remembering to be merciful,


to show mercy toward our ancestors, to remember ʜɪꜱ holy covenant,


because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the sunrise from on high will visit us,


if somehow I might stimulate rivalry among those who are my flesh and save some of them.


And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace.


Y’all must not be conformed to this world. Instead y’all are to be transformed by the renovation of the mind, so that y’all may test and approve what the will of God is—that which is good, pleasing, and perfect.


For by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified before ʜɪᴍ, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.


We compute, then, that a human is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.


But to the one who does not work, but believes in ʜɪᴍ who justifies the ungodly, that person’s faith is credited as righteousness.


And even before they were born or had done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to election would remain (not of works, but from the one who calls),


So then it does not depend on the one who wills or the one who runs, but on God who has mercy.


What should we say then? That the ethnic groups, who didn’t pursue righteousness, have taken hold of righteousness, a righteousness that is by faith,


Such were some of y’all. But y’all were washed, y’all were sanctified, y’all were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.


know that a human is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. We have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by the faithfulness of Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.


But God, being rich in mercy, because of ʜɪꜱ great love with which ʜᴇ loved us,


to be renewed in the spirit of y’all’s mind,


so that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,


Not because of your righteousness or because of the uprightness of your heart will you go in to possess their land. Instead it is because of the wickedness of these nations that YHWH your God drive them out from before you, and so that ʜᴇ might establish the word which YHWH swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.


and have been clothed with the new humanity, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its Creator.


who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not through our works, but through ʜɪꜱ own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,


But when the kindness and humanity-love of our Savior God began showing,


let’s draw near with a sincere heart in the full assurance that comes from faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and having our body washed with pure water.


Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help us in time of need.


and then fell away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify the Son of God for themselves again and put him to public disgrace.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to ʜɪꜱ great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,


Formerly, not a people, now the people of God. Formerly not receiving mercy, but now receiving mercy.


and this is a symbol of the baptism which now saves y’all (not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
