3 Therefore, while the husband is alive, she would be called an adulteress if she is joined to another man. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law and is not an adulteress, even though she is joined to another man.

“‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress must be executed-executed.


but I tell y’all that whoever divorces his wife, except for the reason of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.


For example, a married woman is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is released from the law regarding the husband.


Therefore, my siblings, y’all also were made to die to the law through the body of Christ, so that y’all would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, so that we might bear fruit for God.


Then she said, “Let me find favor in your eyes, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not one of your servants.”
