Instead, he said farewell and added, “I will come back to y’all if God wills.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.


After this had taken place, Paul determined in the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia. He said, “After I have been there, I must see Rome as well.”


When he would not be dissuaded, we kept quiet and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”


I know that when I come to y’all, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.


Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,


But I will come to y’all very soon if the Lord is willing. And I will find out, not just what the arrogant are saying, but about their power.


Y’all, don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your* requests be made known to God.


For we wanted to come to y’all—indeed, I, Paul, tried more than once—but Satan hindered us.


Also, prepare a guest room for me, because I hope that through y’all’s prayers I will be restored to y’all.


I strongly urge y’all to do this, so that I may be restored to y’all sooner.


Instead, y’all ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
