So Joab and the people who were with him came near to the battle against the Syrians, and they fled before him.


The Syrians fled before Israel; and David killed seven hundred charioteers of the Syrians and forty thousand horsemen, and struck Shobach the captain of their army, so that he died there.


I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted within me.


But the wicked will perish. The enemies of YHWH will be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke.


You, are to be feared. Yes, you! Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?


It’s burned with fire. It’s cut down. They perish at your rebuke.


The mountains melt like wax at the presence of YHWH, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.


At the noise of the thunder, the peoples have fled. When you lift yourself up, the nations are scattered.


as when fire kindles the brushwood, and the fire causes the water to boil. Make your name known to your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence!


For wickedness burns like a fire. It devours the briers and thorns; yes, it kindles in the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke.


Why have your warriors been swept away? They cannot stand, because YHWH pushed them.


Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the dew that passes away early, like the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing floor, and like the smoke out of the chimney.


The mountains melt under ʜɪᴍ, and the valleys split apart like wax before the fire, like waters that are poured down a steep place.


When the ark went forward, Moses said, “Rise up, YHWH, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”
