Psalm 46:2

God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.


Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.


Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains trembled and were shaken, because ʜᴇ burned with anger.


Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.


Though an army should encamp against me, my heart will not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.


YHWH is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in ʜɪᴍ, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank ʜɪᴍ.


But the salvation of the righteous is from YHWH. Hᴇ is their stronghold in the time of trouble.


To you, my strength, I will sing praises. For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.


Y’all should trust in ʜɪᴍ at all times, people. Y’all must pour out your* heart before ʜɪᴍ. God is a refuge for us. Selah.


Surely the children of humanity are but a breath, important people but a falsehood. Weighed on a balances, they will go up, because together they are lighter than a breath.


They don’t know or understand. They wander around in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.


I will say of YHWH, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”


You hope of Israel, its Savior in the time of trouble, why should you be as a foreigner in the land, and as a wayfaring man who turns aside to stay for a night?


YHWH is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and ʜᴇ knows those who take refuge in ʜɪᴍ.


Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell y’all, if you* have faith and don’t doubt, y’all will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if y’all say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and cast into the sea,’ it will be done.


Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.


So we say with confidence, “The Lord [YHWH] is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can humans do to me?”
