Isaac pleaded with YHWH for his wife, because she was barren. YHWH heard his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.


The woman conceived, and bore a son at that season when the time came around, as Elisha had said to her.


God sets the lonely in families. Hᴇ brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.


“Sing, barren, you who didn’t give birth! Break out into singing, and cry aloud, you who didn’t travail with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says YHWH.


But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, then she is to go free conceive offspring.


For it is written, “Rejoice, you barren who don’t bear children. Break out and shout, you who were never in labor. For the desolate women have more children than her who has a husband.”


Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry are satisfied. Yes, the barren has borne seven. She who has many children languishes.
