As for me, I will see your face in righteousness. I will be satisfied when I awake to see your likeness.

But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is finished!


Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”


But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,


If anyone serves me, let them follow me. Where I am, there my deacon will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor them.


It was just before the feast of the Passover. Jesus, knowing that the time had come when he would depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.


If I go and prepare a place for y’all, I will come again and will take y’all to be with me so that y’all may be where I am.


Father, I desire that those whom you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they might see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.


While they stoned him, Stephen called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”


And so, we are full of courage and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.


We are not withholding our affection from y’all, but y’all are withholding yours* from us.


Yet to remain in the flesh is necessary for y’all’s sake.


For y’all know, siblings, that our visit to y’all wasn’t in vain.


And we also thank God constantly because when y’all received the word of God from us, y’all accepted it not as a human word, but as it is in truth, God’s word, which also works in y’all who believe.


Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.


For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is near.


I heard a voice from heaven saying, “You are to write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they can rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.”
