Hazael said, “But what is your servant, who is but a dog, that he could do this great thing?” Elisha answered, “YHWH has shown me that you will be king over Syria.”


From my security, I said, “I will never be moved.”


All the people answered together, and said, “All that YHWH has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to YHWH.


Pride goes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.


A person of many friends may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.


A person’s pride brings them low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.


YHWH, I know that the way of person is not in themself. No one who walks directs their own steps.


The heart is deceitful above all things and incurably sick. Who can understand it?


But whoever denies me before humans, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.


They said to him, “We are able.” Jesus said to them, “Y’all will drink the cup that I drink, and y’all will be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with;


Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you that today, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”


They came to a place which was named Gethsemane. He told his disciples, “Y’all sit here while I pray.”


But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that he might be crucified. And their voices prevailed.


Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”
