Leviticus 11:1

You are to take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, a male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, a male and his female.


Then Noah built an altar to YHWH, and took some of every clean animal and every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.


Every moving thing that lives will be food for y’all. As I gave y’all the green plant, I now give everything to y’all.


When Moses heard that, it was pleasing in his sight.


“Y’all are to tell to the children of Israel, ‘These are the living things which y’all may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.


YHWH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,


“‘Therefore y’all must set apart the clean animal and the unclean, the unclean fowl and the clean. Y’all must not defile yourselves* with animal, or bird, or by anything that swarms on the ground, which I have set apart as unclean for y’all.


But Peter said, “Never, Lord! For I have never eaten anything that is profane or ritually unclean.”


These are the animals y’all may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,


Y’all must not be carried away by various strange teachings. It is beautiful for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which do not benefit those who observe them.
