Do you see a person who is wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them.


Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!


“Yet you said, ‘I am innocent. Surely his anger has turned away from me.’ “I will certainly judge you, because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’


The servant who knew the master’s will and didn’t get ready or do what the master asked will receive a severe beating,


I tell y’all, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts themself will be humbled, but the one who humbles themself will be exalted.”


For if we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no more sacrifice for sins remains,


Therefore, whoever knows what is excellent to do but doesn’t do it, that is sin for them.
