But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, as to how they might destroy him.


But the tenants, when they saw the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’


The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and began considering how they might kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.


Then he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent.


The Pharisees left immediately and conspired with the Herodians against him, as to how they might destroy him.


For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.


They tried again to seize him, and he escaped their grasp.


So from that day forward they planned together to kill him.


For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the Sabbath.


For this reason the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.


“But don’t think that I will accuse y’all before the Father. The one who accuses y’all is Moses on whom y’all have set your* hope.


After these things, Jesus traveled in Galilee. He didn’t want to travel in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.


Therefore some of the people of Jerusalem said, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?


This is the one who was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors. He received living words to give to us,


Then why is there the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed would come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.


For even they who receive circumcision don’t keep the law themselves, but they desire to have y’all circumcised, so that they may boast in y’all’s flesh.


Y’all must not show partiality in judgment. Y’all are to listen to the small and the great alike. Y’all must not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God’s. If a case is too hard for y’all, y’all may bring to me, and I will hear it.”


Moses commanded us a law, an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.
