After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, Magi from the rising direction came to Jerusalem, saying,


When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me!”


A man named Jairus, a synagogue official, came and fell down at Jesus’s feet, begging him to come into his house,


Then Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.


When Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet and said to him, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.”


he left Judea and departed for Galilee.


This is the second sign that Jesus did, after coming from Judea into Galilee.


Lydda was near Joppa, so when the disciples heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to urge him, “Don’t delay in coming to us.”
