to go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of YHWH, and from the glory of ʜɪꜱ majesty, when ʜᴇ arises to shake the earth mightily.


The burden on Arabia: In the thickets in Arabia, Y’all will lodge, O caravans of Dedanites.


For my sword has drunk its fill in the sky. Look, it will come down on Edom, and on the people of my curse, for judgment.


Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;


Also her hired men in the middle of her are like calves of the stall, for they also are turned back. They have fled away together. They didn’t stand, for the day of their calamity has come on them, the time of their visitation.


Y’all must leave the towns and live among the rocks, residents of Moab. Y’all are to be like a dove that makes her nest over the mouth of the pit.


“He who flees from the terror will fall into the pit, and he who gets up out of the pit will be taken in the snare, for I will bring on him, even on Moab, the year of their visitation,” says YHWH.


Flee, y’all! Save your* lives! Y’all should be like the juniper bush in the wilderness.


Y’all must feel quickly and run far away! Y’all must dwell in the depths, dwellers of Hazor,” says YHWH, “for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken counsel against y’all, and has formed a plan against y’all.


Their camels will be a booty, and the multitude of their livestock a plunder. I will scatter to all winds those who have the corners of their beards cut off; and I will bring their calamity from every side of them,” says YHWH.


Y’all are to kill all her bulls. Let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their visitation.

Though Edom says, “We are beaten down, but we will return and rebuild the ruined places,” YHWH Almighty says, “They will build, but I will demolish. They will be called ‘The Wicked Land,’ a people with whom YHWH is indignant forever.”


The kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the wealthy, the strong, and every slave and free person, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains.


The hand of Midian prevailed against Israel, and because of Midian the children of Israel made themselves the dens which are in the mountains, the caves, and the strongholds.


When the men of Israel saw that they were in trouble (for the people were distressed), then the people hid themselves in caves, in thickets, in rocks, in tombs, and in pits.
