When Ben Hadad heard this message as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, he said to his servants, “Y’all prepare to attack!” So they prepared to attack the city.


They went out at noon. But Ben Hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty-two kings who helped him.


Hᴇ made darkness ʜɪꜱ covering, a canopy around ʜɪᴍ, enveloped by the darkness of waters and storm clouds.


For in the day of trouble, ʜᴇ will keep me secretly in ʜɪꜱ pavilion. In the secret place of ʜɪꜱ tabernacle, ʜᴇ will hide me. Hᴇ will lift me up on a rock.


In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.


who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd, and will fulfill all my desire,’ even saying of Jerusalem, ‘Let it be rebuilt;’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation will be laid.’”


YHWH says to Cyrus ʜɪꜱ anointed, whose right hand I have hold in order to subdue nations before him, strip kings of their armor, and open-open the doors before him, and the gates will not be shut:


Indeed, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says YHWH. “They will come, and they will each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.


“Take great stones in your hand and hide them in mortar in the brick work which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah.


The word that YHWH spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, how that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon should come and strike the land of Egypt:


I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from there king and princes,’ says YHWH.


A third part of you will die with the pestilence, and they will be consumed with famine within you. A third part will fall by the sword around you. A third part I will scatter to all the winds, and will draw out a sword after them.


Hᴇ changes the times and the seasons. Hᴇ removes kings and sets up kings. Hᴇ gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding.


“The king was enraged! He sent his soldiers to destroy those murderers and burn down their city.
