Why, YHWH, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?


Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.


God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.


Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains topple into the soul of the seas;


Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”


For you are my hope, Lord YHWH, my confidence from my youth.


YHWH is a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.


He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.


YHWH, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.


I myself am YHWH. Besides me, there is no savior.


For I am YHWH your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.


Most certainly you are a God who has hidden yourself, God of Israel, the Savior.’”


Y’all declare and present it. Indeed, let them take counsel together. Who has shown this from ancient time? Who has declared it of old? Haven’t I, YHWH? There is no other God besides me, a just God and a Savior. There is no one besides me.


For he said, “Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely;” so he became their Savior.


YHWH, my strength, my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and will say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.


YHWH, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be disappointed. Those who depart from me will be written in the earth, because they have forsaken YHWH, the spring of living waters.


Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it! It will be the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he will be saved out of it.


All who found them have devoured them. Their adversaries said, ‘We are not guilty, because they have sinned against YHWH, the habitation of righteousness, even YHWH, the hope of their fathers.’


YHWH will roar from Zion, and thunder from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth will shake; but YHWH will be a refuge to his people, and a stronghold to the children of Israel.


Y’all must return to the stronghold, O prisoners of hope! This very day I declare that I will return double to you.


This is the reason I have asked to see y’all and to speak with y’all. For I am bound with this chain because of the hope of Israel.”


Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the commandment of God our Savior and Christ Jesus our hope,


He lifted up his eyes, and saw the wayfaring man in the street of the city; and the old man said, “Where are you going? Where did you come from?”
