Their heart is as callous as the fat, but I delight in your law.


They close up their callous hearts. Their mouths speak with arrogance.


Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can’t see. Let their backs be continually bent.


But YHWH hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he wouldn’t let them go.


Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, but YHWH hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go out of his land.


I myself will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will go in after them. I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.


I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.


One who winks his eyes to plot perversities, one who compresses his lips, is bent on evil.


a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;


YHWH will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to YHWH, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.


Therefore word of YHWH will be to them precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, fall backward, be broken, be snared, and be taken.


For YHWH has poured out on y’all a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed y’all’s eyes, the prophets; and he has covered y’all’s heads, the seers.


therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”


Y’all must pause and be amazed! Y’all must blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; they stagger, but not from beer.


They don’t know, neither do they consider, for he has shut their eyes, that they can’t see, and their hearts, that they can’t understand.


Why, YHWH, do you make us wander from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants’ sake, the tribes of your inheritance.


The heart is deceitful above all things and incurably sick. Who can understand it?


‘Y’all listen to this now, foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, and don’t see, who have ears, and don’t hear:


To whom should I speak and testify, that they may hear? Look, their ear is uncircumcised, and they can’t listen. Indeed, the word of YHWH has become a reproach to them. They have no delight in it.


You will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.


YHWH said to me, “Take for yourself yet again the equipment of a foolish shepherd.


But they refused to listen, and turned their backs, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.


for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, Otherwise they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them.’


“Hᴇ has blinded their eyes and ʜᴇ hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”


For the heart of this people has become callous. Their ears have difficulty hearing, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they would see with their eyes, hear with their ears, comprehend with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.’


“Therefore, y’all must repent and turn back, so that your* sins may be wiped out, so that times of refreshing may come from the face of the Lord,


To the one we are an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?


But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass near him, for YHWH your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, that ʜᴇ might deliver him into your hand, as has taken place today.

But to this day YHWH has not given y’all a heart to know, eyes to see, or ears to hear.


For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.


But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. You have grown fat. You have grown thick. You have become sleek. Then he abandoned God who made him, and rejected the Rock of his salvation.
