Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers. Let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you. Blessed be everyone who blesses you.”


He made him ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, “Bow the knee!” He set him over all the land of Egypt.


Now Joseph was the governor over the land. It was he who sold to all the people of the land. Joseph’s brothers came, and bowed themselves down to him with their faces to the earth.


Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, and he was still there. They fell on the ground before him.


Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Does my father still live?” His brothers couldn’t answer him; for they were terrified at his presence.


‘Y’all must tell Joseph, “Now please forgive the disobedience of your brothers, and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ Now, please forgive the disobedience of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.


Joseph said to them, “Y’all shouldn’t be afraid—am I in the place of God?
