YHWH said to Moses, “You are to go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, so that I may show these my signs among them,


YHWH said to Moses, “Pharaoh won’t listen to y’all, so that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”


That same day, YHWH brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.


Moses said to the people, “Remember this day when y’all came out of Egypt, out from the house of slavery, for YHWH brought y’all out with a mighty hand. No leavened bread may be eaten.


This will be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that YHWH’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand YHWH has brought you out of Egypt.


Moses told his father-in-law all that YHWH had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel’s sake, all the hardships that had come on them on the way, and how YHWH delivered them.


I know that the king of Egypt will not permit y’all to go, not even by a strong hand.


I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do among them, and after that he will let y’all go.


YHWH said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he will let them go, and because of a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”


It was this Aaron and Moses to whom YHWH said, “Y’all are to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their military divisions.”


Therefore you are to tell the children of Israel, ‘I am YHWH, and I will bring y’all out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rescue y’all from their bondage. I will redeem y’all with an outstretched arm, and with great acts of judgment.


Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as YHWH had spoken.


Tell him, ‘YHWH, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness. But look! Until now you haven’t listened.”
