Ahab said to Elijah, “Have you found me, my enemy?” He answered, “I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do that which is evil in YHWH’s sight.


I will also speak of your statutes before kings, and will not be disappointed.


Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “This is what YHWH, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.


Or else, if you refuse to let my people go, watch, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,


Moses said, “We will go with our young and with our old. We will go with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds; for we must hold a feast to YHWH.”


They will listen to your voice. Then you must go, along with the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and y’all are to tell him, ‘YHWH, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to YHWH, our God.’


Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me your way, now, that I may know you, so that I may find favor in your sight; and consider that this nation is your people.”


and I told you, “Let my son go, so that he may serve me,” but you have refused to let him go. See now, I will kill your firstborn son.’”


“Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.”


These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron.


Tell him, ‘YHWH, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness. But look! Until now you haven’t listened.”


You are to speak all that I command you, and Aaron your brother will speak to Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.


YHWH spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him, ‘This is what YHWH says, “Let my people go, so that they may serve me.


YHWH said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the earth, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.’”


They did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and struck the dust of the earth, and there were lice on man, and on animal; all the dust of the earth became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.


YHWH said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh as he comes out to the water. Tell him, ‘This is what YHWH says, “Let my people go, that they may serve me.


We will go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to YHWH our God, as he will command us.”


Then YHWH said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what YHWH, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.


For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,


In this mountain, YHWH Almighty will make all peoples a feast of choice meat, a feast of choice wines, of choice meat full of marrow, of well refined choice wines.


You, son of humanity, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.


And y’all will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the ethnic groups.


Don’t y’all be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, y’all should fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


And now, Lord, consider their threats and grant that your servants may speak your word with all boldness,


Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old yeast, or with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
