In the first month, which is the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, and chose the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.


YHWH spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,


In the first month, y’all are to eat unleavened bread from the evening of fourteenth day of the month until the evening of twenty-first day of the month.


Y’all are to speak to the whole community of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, each man is to take a lamb according to his fathers’ household, a lamb for each household.


Moses said to the people, “Remember this day when y’all came out of Egypt, out from the house of slavery, for YHWH brought y’all out with a mighty hand. No leavened bread may be eaten.


Today, in the month Abib, y’all are going out.


You are to observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out of Egypt), and no one is to appear before me empty.


“You must keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out of Egypt.


In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.


“‘Lord YHWH says: “In the first month, on the first day of the month, you are to take a young bull without defect and purify the sanctuary.


“‘“In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, y’all are to have the Passover, a feast of seven days, during which unleavened bread is to be eaten.


In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is YHWH’s Passover.


“‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, is YHWH’s Passover.


Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to YHWH your God; for in the month of Abib YHWH your God brought you out of Egypt by night.
