For you will eat from the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.


Who is someone who desires life? Who would love a long life seeing what is good?


There is nothing better for a person than that they should eat and drink, and consider in their soul good of their labor. I have seen that it is from the hand of God.


I searched in my heart how to cheer my flesh with wine, my heart yet guiding me with wisdom, and how to lay hold of folly, until I might see what it was good for the sons of men that they should do under heaven all the days of their lives.


a person to whom God gives riches, wealth, and honor, so that they lack nothing for their soul desires, yet God has not empowered them to enjoy it, and a foreigner enjoys it. This is emptiness, and it is an evil disease.


Then I commended enjoyment, because there is no better thing under the sun than for a person to eat, drink, and be joyful: for that will accompany them in their labor all the days of their life which God has given under the sun.


Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.


There y’all will eat before YHWH y’all’s God, and y’all will rejoice in all that y’all put your* hand to, y’all and y’all’s households, in which YHWH your God has blessed y’all.


You will rejoice in all the good which YHWH your God has given to you and your house, along with the Levite and the foreigners among you.
