you must not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, YHWH your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,


maintaining lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin. But ʜᴇ will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the grandchildren, to the third and fourth generation.”


If the righteous will be repaid on earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner!


According to their deeds, ʜᴇ will repay as appropriate: wrath to ʜɪꜱ adversaries, recompense to his enemies. Hᴇ will repay the islands their due.


You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. The great, the mighty God, YHWH Almighty is your name:


YHWH is a jealous and avenging God. YHWH avenges and is full of wrath. YHWH takes vengeance on ʜɪꜱ adversaries, and ʜᴇ maintains wrath against ʜɪꜱ enemies.


When the ark went forward, Moses said, “Rise up, YHWH, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”


‘YHWH is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and disobedience; and he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation.’


Don’t seek revenge, beloved, but y’all must leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay,” says the Lord.


Outside the sword will bereave, and in the rooms, terror on both young man and virgin, the nursing infant with the gray-haired man.


Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slides, for the day of their calamity is at hand. Their doom rushes at them.”


if I sharpen my glittering sword, my hand grasps it in judgment; I will take vengeance on my adversaries, and will repay those who hate me.

Therefore, you must keep the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances which I command you today, to do them.


Know therefore that YHWH your God is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love ʜɪᴍ and keep ʜɪꜱ commandments,
