Now when these things were done, the princes came near to me, saying, “The people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, following their abominations, even those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.


because they didn’t meet the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them; however, our God turned the curse into a blessing.


In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.


Concerning the children of Ammon. YHWH says: “Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does Malcam possess Gad, and his people dwell in its cities?


The adversary has spread out his hand on all her pleasant things; for she has seen that the nations have entered into her sanctuary, concerning whom you commanded that they should not enter into your assembly.


Lord YHWH says, “No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, may enter into my sanctuary, not even any foreigners who are among the children of Israel.


For YHWH Almighty says: ‘For honor ʜᴇ has sent me against the nations that plundered y’all; for whoever touches y’all touches the apple of ʜɪꜱ eye.


for I will honor-honor you and do whatever you say to me. So please come and curse this people for me.’”


He took up his parable, and said, “From Aram has Balak brought me, the king of Moab from the mountains of the East. Come, curse Jacob for me. Come, defy Israel.


“The King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell y’all, because y’all did it to one of the least of these siblings and mine, y’all did it to me.’


He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”


Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel. He sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse y’all,


Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness.


Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, rushed into the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.


Should I then take my bread, my water, and my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men who I don’t know where they come from?”
