5 Then the priests, the sons of Levi whom YHWH your God has chosen to minister to ʜɪᴍ, will come forward and to bless in the name of YHWH, and according to their ruling every controversy and every assault be decided.

The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons forever, to burn incense before YHWH, to minister to him, and to bless in his name forever.


Whenever any controversy comes to y’all from y’all’s brothers who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, y’all must warn them, so that they will not be guilty toward YHWH, and so wrath come on y’all and on y’all’s brothers. Y’all must do this, and y’all will not be guilty.


Then he said to me, “The north rooms and the south rooms, which are opposite the separate place, are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to YHWH will eat the most holy things. There they will lay the most holy things, with the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.


“‘“In a controversy they are to stand as judge and judge according to my ordinances. They must observe my laws and my statutes in all my appointed feasts and keep my Sabbaths holy.


Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessed them; and he came down from offering the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings.


For the lips of the priest should preserve knowledge, and people should seek the instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of YHWH Almighty.


At that time YHWH set apart the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of YHWH’s covenant, to stand before YHWH to minister to ʜɪᴍ, and to bless in ʜɪꜱ name, to this day.


For YHWH your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of YHWH, him and his sons forever.


then both the parties to the controversy, must stand before YHWH, before the priests and the judges in those days;


The elders of that city are to bring the heifer down to a valley with running water, that is neither plowed nor sown, and break the heifer’s neck there in the valley.
