He didn’t speak to them without a parable; but privately he explained everything to his own disciples.


for I have five brothers, to warn them, so that they won’t also come to this place of torment.’


He said to them, “These are my words that I told y’all while I was still with y’all, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”


Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of ʜɪᴍ who sent me and to accomplish ʜɪꜱ work.


After his suffering, he presented himself to them alive with many convincing proofs. He appeared to them over a period of forty days, speaking about the Empire of God.


For he vigorously refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.


Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, attempting to persuade Jews and Greeks.


Paul entered the synagogue and spoke out boldly there for three months, discussing and persuading them about the Empire of God.


The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so it is necessary for you to testify in Rome.”


But this I admit to you that, according to the Way which they call a sect, I serve the God of our ancestors, believing everything in accordance with the Law and what is written in the prophets.


And now because of the hope in God’s promise to our ancestors, I stand on trial today.


preaching the Empire of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.


Then Philip opened his mouth and, beginning from this Scripture, told him the good news about Jesus.


also to Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church that meets in your house:


Also, prepare a guest room for me, because I hope that through y’all’s prayers I will be restored to y’all.
