“As for me, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to confirm and strengthen him.


Therefore, I am sending y’all prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them y’all will kill and crucify; and some of them y’all will flog in your* synagogues and persecute from city to city,


“For this reason, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of whom they will kill and persecute,


When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and exhorted them all to remain true to the Lord with purpose in their hearts.


At that time, some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.


Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.


strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith, saying, “We must go through many persecutions to enter the Empire of God.”


Now certain men came down from Judea and began to teach the siblings, “Unless y’all are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, y’all can’t be saved.”


Then it seemed good to the apostles, the elders, and the whole church to select men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, who were leading men among the siblings.


Therefore, we have sent Judas and Silas, who will confirm these same things in person.


So the church sent them on their way, and as they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, they told the stories of how the conversion of ethnic groups, bringing great joy to all the siblings.


When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.


He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.


After spending some time there, he set out and passed successively through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.


With many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Y’all must be saved from this crooked generation!”


When he had gone through those parts and spoken many words of encouragement, he came to Greece,


but having differing gifts according to the grace that was given to us: if prophecy, use it according to the proportion of faith;


if an exhorter, then exhort; if a giver, then generously; if a leader, then with diligence; if a mercy giver, then with cheerfulness.


He will also establish y’all until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


Let two or three of the prophets speak, and let the others discern.


But the human who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort.


And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,


which in other generations was not made known to the children of humans, as it has now been unveiled to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit,


As y’all know, we exhorted and comforted every one of y’all, as a father does his own children,


We sent Timothy, our sibling and God’s deacon in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen y’all and encourage your* faith,


Additionally then, siblings, we ask and urge y’all in the Lord Jesus, that as y’all received instruction from us on how you* should live to please God—as y’all are doing—do it all the more.


Siblings, we urge y’all: y’all must warn the undisciplined, encourage the disheartened, support the weak, and be patient with everyone.


Y’all must not despise prophecies.


Now such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work quietly and eat the food they earn.


I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all humans,


Preach the word, Be ready in season and out of season Correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and instruction.


Therefore, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ and as one who will share in the glory to be revealed, I exhort the elders among y’all:


But after y’all have suffered a little while, may the God of all grace, who called y’all to his eternal glory in Christ, restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish y’all.


Through Silvanus, our faithful sibling, as I consider him, I have written to y’all briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it, y’all!
