lest I be full, deny you, and say, ‘Who is YHWH?’ or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.


But whoever denies me before humans, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.


Peter said to him, “Even if I have to die with you, I will not deny you.” And all the disciples said the same thing.


Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Then he went out and wept bitterly.


“See, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Humanity will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death and will deliver him to the ethnic groups.


For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Humanity also will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”


But he who denies me in the presence of humans will be denied in the presence of the angels of God.


And I bestow on y’all an empire, even as my Father bestowed one on me,


so that y’all may eat and drink at my table in my empire. Y’all will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”


For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Humanity will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory, and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.


strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith, saying, “We must go through many persecutions to enter the Empire of God.”


For if by one transgression, death reigned through the one, how much more will the receivers of the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ!


And if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ if we suffer with him, so that we may also be glorified with him.


not being frightened by those who oppose y’all. This is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for y’all, and that from God.


But anyone who doesn’t provide for their own, especially their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.


For certain humans crept in secretly, those whose condemnation was written about long ago. They are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.


and he made us an empire, priests for his God and Father—to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.


I John, y’all’s sibling and partner in the tribulation, the empire, and the perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.


“I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. Yet you hold firmly to my name and didn’t deny my faith in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among y’all, where Satan dwells.


I saw thrones, and those sitting on them, and authority to judge was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, who didn’t worship the beast nor its image and who didn’t receive the mark on their forehead or on their hand. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.


Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him one thousand years.


Because you kept my word to endure, I will also keep you from the hour of testing which is about to come on the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.


The one who conquers, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat with my Father on ʜɪꜱ throne.


“I know your works. Look! I have given you an open door that no one can shut, because you have little power, and kept my word, and have not denied my name.


You have made them to be an empire and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
