Judah spoke to him, saying, “The man warned-warned us, saying, ‘Y’all will not see my face, unless y’all’s brother is with y’all.’


Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.


Absalom lived two full years in Jerusalem, and he didn’t see the king’s face.


David said, “Good. I will make a treaty with you, but one thing I require of you. That is, you will not see my face unless you first bring Michal, Saul’s daughter, when you come to see my face.”


Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Be careful to see my face no more; for in the day you see my face you will die!”


They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
