YHWH said to him, “Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.


Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him and attacked him in Samaria, in the fortress of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites. He killed him, and reigned in his place.


Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, attacked him, killed him, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.


Elisha said to him, “Go, tell him, ‘You will recover-recover,’ however YHWH has shown me that he will die-die.”


Hazael said, “But what is your servant, who is but a dog, that he could do this great thing?” Elisha answered, “YHWH has shown me that you will be king over Syria.”


He went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth Gilead, and the Syrians wounded Joram.


Jehu drew his bow with his full strength, and struck Joram between his arms; and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.


He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himsefl in a way that is not good. Hᴇ doesn’t abhor evil.


Woe to you who destroy, but you weren’t destroyed, and who betray, but nobody betrayed you! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you have finished betrayal, you will be betrayed.


Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.


As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Out of the wicked comes wickedness;’ but my hand will not be on you.
